How can De-TURF benefit your School/College?

Our workshops have been designed to meet curriculum requirements across all 4 key stages and can be developed to meet the needs of any class, regardless of age gender or ability. The requirements of each class will be discussed before hand, however we have produced a list below to identify the key skills De-TURF can develop in participants.

What does the National Curriculum state across all 4 key stages?

Key stage 1

Pupils should be taught to:

master basic movements including running, jumping, throwing and catching, as well as developing balance, agility and co-ordination, and begin to apply these in a range of activitiesperform dances using simple movement patterns

Key stage 2

Pupils should be taught to:

use running, jumping, throwing and catching in isolation and in combination develop flexibility, strength, technique, control and balance [for example, through athletics and gymnastics] perform dances using a range of movement patterns

Key stage 3

Pupils should be taught to:

develop their technique and improve their performance in other competitive sports [for example, athletics and gymnastics] perform dances using advanced dance techniques in a range of dance styles and forms

Key stage 4
