STARTING WEDNESDAY 6TH JANUARY 2016. NEW CLASSES!!!

 

WEDNESDAYS at Stainbeck Community Hall, Sainbeck Lane, Leeds LS7 2EA.

 

ONE HOUR De-TURF FITNESS SESSION

 

This hour De-TURF fitness session is ideal for 18+. De-TURF will focus on one piece of equipment in any one session like (Rackets), (Bean bags), (Hula hoops), (Hockey sticks-play hok), etc as examples. This session will help with co-ordination, rhythm and timing of the participants. When using the equipment, participants will learn how to use it on both their right and left side. It will also cover mobilisation, strength, stamina and stretching. This new style of session will also be full of popular music / and funky house tunes. The session will also be full of energetic cardiovascular dance steps and sport like movements. Moves are repeated so that the participants can get hold of them and really to get the best of all the movements given.

By the end of the session the participants will feel fitter, skills in catching, bouncing, tapping or swinging etc will have improved, and a real sense of achievement will leave the participants wanting more.

 

De-TURF will surely get you buzzzing, excited and interested.

This concept is also made to help the posture and muscles feel stronger-straighter and leaner. Will help with weight loss and healthy minds. Fantastic to help with your balance and awearness. The brain will be stimulated through this workout and may come more aware of your surroundings.

 

All of the above are fantastic for both left and right handed people so no one will ever feel left out and will challenge you on your good side and strengthen all participants on their weaker sides . (no other dance/ sports activity does this).

 

What De-TURF fitness seeks to develop in participants:

 

  • A sense of timing, rhythm and co-ordination.

  • To be able to follow and execute a sequence of movement.

  • “Be healthy” physically, mentally and emotionally.

  • “Enjoy and achieve” personal and social development.

  • An awareness of their own physicality.

  • Tighten and tone up arms-backs-legs-waist/abs.

  • To be happy, and have lots of fun in a De-TURF fitness class.
