De-TURF strike is a training concept that comibnes self-defence, focus pads, music and stamina to give a complete full body workout. However, the strikers are not the only focus, the "padders" (people holding the focus pads) are able to create sounds by hitting the pads together in between what the strikers do. This takes great skill, energy and enthusiasm to pull off. This is one of De-TURF's most intense and physical class using inspiration from a variety of martial arts movements.

This 1 hour De-TURF strike session is a training concept combining self-defence movement, focus pads, high energy music and stamina to give you a complete, I mean a complete all over body workout.

 

De-TURF strike gets you focused by striking the pads with  hands, elbows, knees and feet using different strokes and techniques, which includes, agility and mental ability. It will help you to relieve stress and tension, lose weight, tone up and definitely get you into shape. You'll be bouncing, twisting, bobbing n' weaving in time to the beat of powerful up tempo music. You will really feel your co-ordination and rhythm improve big time.

 

 

What De-TURF Strike fitness seeks to develop in participants:

 

  •  A sense of timing, rhythm and co-ordination.

  •  General fitness and body alignment including endurance, stamina, balance, agility and flexibility.  

  •  Endurance, stamina, balance, agility and flexibility. At any level, it can progress to harder 

      rhythms, shapes, techniques or movement with the body

  •  Develop physical & spacial awareness – bring attention to the physical movement of the body  and space and relationship to others in the space around you

  •  Guaranteed it will leave you on an adrenaline high with new skills, physical awareness, feeling fitter and healthier than ever. 

 

 

De-TURF strike half or full day workshops are suitable for 13+:

 

The (padders), people holding the focus pads are able to create sounds by hitting the pads together in between what the (strikers) do. This is particularly exciting to watch as it takes great skill, energy and enthusiasm to do. This is also very physical in a martial arts training kind of way.

 

STRIKE is perfect when done by itself with the strikers and padders making the music and no sound from a cd or iPod, YOU ARE THE MUSIC, fantastically hypnotic.

New and creative ways of moving (which includes working in pairs, trio's and in small groups).   

 

 

De-TURF will design all sessions to meet the needs of the participants taking into consideration age, ability and experience.
